Charity fundraiser – Doberman commission
It is always an honour and a pleasure to be asked to create a special commission for someone but when it is for a charity fundraiser I am even more delighted to be able to help.
The proceeds of this particular fundraiser are going to Paula Domineer to assist her with the cost of cancer treatment. Paula is a professional dog groomer, dog lover and raises Dobermans.
The painting is 14”x18”, oil on canvas and has a value of $360.
Inspirational sports paintings for Team Nova Scotia
So, my son made the Nova Scotia Provincial Bantam Lacrosse Team, yahoo!! However, along with this terrific opportunity comes lots of fundraising efforts so that all the players will be looking and playing their best for the National Championship. One of our events was a silent auction evening. These paintings are the result of wanting to contribute to the action and come up with something different, something appealing and relevant to Team Nova Scotia.
The fun challenge was creating something in such a very short space of time and luckily no one that evening minded the ‘caution wet paint sign’ an inevitability of meeting such a tight deadline.
I am delighted to say that they were a popular item that evening and they brought good value to the event too.
I LOVED making these paintings and I see them as the tip of the iceberg as far as creative potential. I am excited to play some more with this concept and work with different sport/ activity themes.
